Day 28

It was a great way to start my day.  Jay is travelling so I was on my own with Scott @ 5:30 this am.  Using the foam roller for 15 min wakes those muscles right up and ready for lots of upper body exercises on the Synrgy 360~love it! Puts those core muscles right to work then added some band walking, variation of planks and some kettle balls for an awesome hour workout.  I finished it off with a brisk 2 mile walk around the track as I need to post 100 miles of walking before the half marathon in Phoenix on January 20th with my sister Anne.

I can imagine the energy it takes our military families to focus on their day and stay strong mentally and physically for their loved ones.  Sending happy thoughts their way!

Day 27

Hey guys!  Happy Monday to you all.  Hope you had a great weekend full of lots of activity.   It was raining here in Los Angeles, but still found time to get out and run.  I’m gearing up for the Santa Monica to Venice 5K Santa run this Saturday, so been getting lots of jogging in.  Ran up and down the Beverly Hills trail for five miles today.  Even on muddy/rainy days it remains my favorite city path.

Keep working hard everyone, I’ll let you know how this weekend’s run goes!

Day 26: Baltimore

Hello Everyone,

We’re excited to begin the second year of the 365 day challenge.  In Baltimore, we are working on having several other members start actively posting their workouts.  This weekend, I played some pickup basketball to take care of my workout.  Until next time.

Enjoy the Week.

Day 22, 23, 24, 25

Hey everyone….

Things this week got a bit crazy as I’m sure we all had a ton of work to catch up on due to the Thanksgiving break. Didn’t affect our workouts though, I’m sure!

Wednesday was a nice wet run in LA as it was raining…of course.

Thursday was a few Surfset classes followed by a 100/100.

Friday was two more SurfSet classes and a quick interval based run.

And today was a nice 5 mile run in San Fran…also raining.

Why it was raining during my entire week in LA…I don’t know. Either way, road tripping is great. Definitely makes you find the time to workout and plan ahead.

Day 21

I am working in NYC this week and had a chance to do a Barry’s bootcamp…butt and legs!! It was a combination of treadmill intervals and then down to the floor for leg and butt exercises. We did each set two times but each set varied. Needless to say I am having a hard time walking today!! So sore!!!
Doing Barry’s reminded me of the actual boot camp our military men and women have to go through… Props to all of you for going though the real thing to stay in shape and fight for our country.

Day 20

Hey Team Monday, I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving! As Americans we all have a tremendous amount to be thankful for, much of which is due to the great history of military service that our troops continue to uphold. It goes without saying that we all owe a debt of gratitude to those in uniform this holiday season. We would be nothing without them.

While I did stuff my face Thursday, I also found plenty of time to get outdoors and enjoy the warm Los Angeles temperatures. I am running a 5K Santa run next weekend, so attempting to stay fit for that.

keep working hard gang. Don’t let the holidays be an excuse for laziness!

Day 19 from Baltimore

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend. We have so much to be thankful, especially for our troops who serve to protect our country and the great traditions that we have.

In Baltimore there were many activities over the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Vogt family ran in the annual Towson YMCA 5k Turkey Trot, which has become a family tradition and is a great way to kickstart Thanksgiving and the full day of feasting.

There was also the annual Hereford High School Turkey Bowl, where the class of 2005 takes on the class of 2006. Every year 2005 beats up on the young bucks from 2006 and this year was no different…. However, it’s always competitive and proves to be a great workout and one that you feel for the next couple of days.

We hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving weekend!

See you next week.

Day 17 and 18

Sorry for the delay.

Friday was a combo workout day. Got a solid 5 mile run in with my brother and brother in law up in Lake Winnipesaukee area. Such a gorgeous day. Afterwards we had a “friendly” 2 v 2 basketball game. Brothers vs brother-in-laws. Ill admit, the old timers had us on the first one but the next 6 games were all Karwoski brothers.

Saturday was another run at the lake followed, again, by a more organized basketball game at the local high school with some old friends.

Great week off but back to work now in San Diego.

Day 16- Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! It is a privilege to be with my family this week and I thank everyone that is away from home supporting our Country.

Our familly did our best to support WeAreOne and earn our Thanksgiving meal. I ran 2 miles and lifted, my brother ran and lifted, my dad ran, and my sister trained for squash.  It was a good family effort.

Again, I wish everyone a happy holiday!
