Day 159

Every time I go to write my blog, I think about how shameful my blog is compared to the Wednesday blog.  I have no media, no partner I am doing it with, and more times than not, nothing too exciting.  Well, not much has changed today, but I realized that consistency is not a bad thing. Every Thursday I do my 3 miles by myself and, after being out at lacrosse practice as an assistant, it is exactly what I need.  So today, I did just that.  After practice I went out for a 3 mile run . It was sunny and 70, and once again, a great Thursday workout.

Day 146

With the start of the Masters, I was inspired to take my workout to the golf range. It was not the same as running three miles but it was a fun outdoor activity. It was quickly clear that my golf game is far from perfect. In fact, if you were to picture golfing ability on a scale of one to 10, 10 being the best and 1 being the worst, I am probably around a 2. I had some quite embarrassing shots ending up 20 feet in front of me. But those 4 good shots that I hit, out of a bucket of 75 balls, felt amazing!

Ability aside, it was great

Day 132

Sorry for the late post

Today was a 2.5 mile run.  Great weather in Hudson Ohio to get out and exercise.  I got caught up watching the march madness games tonight and forgot to get the post in earlier.  (not pleased with the final shot by Wisconsin).

I am still running a one man show out here.  It is only me running on Thursdays, but I am trying to get a group together once summer begins.

Day 125

I am on a Lacrosse spring training trip in Tampa Florida as a coach.  We have been down here for the past five days and it has been great week.

Every morning we take the team down to the beach at 6:45 for a “Polar Bear Club” dip.  Each class starts off the day with a morning dip into the ocean.  After the kids are done, the coaches do it as well.  It was been a great active way to start the day.

The most recent workout was a run on the treadmill and a quick lift.  After long hours in the sun coaching, it was exhausting. But, it was nice to have time to myself to run and lift.

Until next Thursday,

Tim

Day 118

Most Recent work out was a circuit work.

We had the team go through a circuit workout- lead by our school trainer.  There are multiple stations and each exercise is done for one minute.  The team did a great job with the circuit, and I decided to join in with them.

Stations include:

Dips, push-ups, abs, jump rope, one-legged squat,  mountain climbers with a 45 lbs plate, upright barbell row, industrial tire dead lift, bent over rows, squat press, one legged squat jump, defensive slide with resistance band, platform cross over push ups, 15 lbs dumbbell shoulder exercises, planks, kettlebell squat swings, fast feet platform step-ups.

Short and Sweet.

Day 104

Hi Everyone,

After a late trip back last night,(travel for business), I have to admit that I had some trouble rising for an early morning workout.  So I put it off until the evening.

After work, and being a little tired it was tough to find motivation, but I still managed to get my run completed.  I went out for a 3 mile run and significantly picked up my pace from what I have been doing over the past few months.

Surprisingly, we have had a mild winter out here and Ohio.  It has still been rather cold but not nearly the same amount of snow fall. Today it was a bit rainy but temperatures in the mid 50’s.  It was nice not to bundle up in preparation for cold weather for the first time is quite a while.

Day 97

I’d like to start out by thanking those military soldiers and families that this organization is designed to honor. I am proud to be part of WE ARE ONE 365 and humbled to share some comments on behalf of the entire organization.

I am a former college soccer player and have continued my training after leaving college.  I have to admit that my training regiment is not quite as strong as before, but I am still finding ways to challenge myself and stay active.

Today’s workout consisted of a 3 mile run and upper body workout.  Although I am not training for an event, I am trying to stay healthy and fit.

Normally I am playing soccer on Thursday mornings with the soccer team that I help coach.  Looking ahead, you can expect to see more posts regarding small sided indoor and outdoor soccer.
