Team Philly

Dear followers,

Please forgive my absence from the blog over the past few weeks.  I broke my rib playing in a mens league soccer game which has “sidelined” me from working out.  However, it is feeling much better this week and I hope to be consistently working out again.

Today I ran two miles and finished with an ab workout.  I am trying to ease into it.  It was tough not being able to do much over the past few weeks. The last thing I want to do is injury myself by trying to do too much too early.  My goal right now is getting back into my routine and remaining healthy.

Today I went out for a  5-6 mile run.  I started out on a path along the Wissahickon Creek and ended up trying some new trails in the Wissahickon Valley Park. It was beautiful scenery and a little more challenging.  I plan to do some more exploring in the future.

July 4th

Military services should always be appreciated, but today serves as a special reminder of the freedoms their efforts have enable for all of us. I want to express my sincere thanks to all our Military men and women who have served and those that continue to serve our country. I wish everyone a safe and happy July 4th.

Today was another run down by the Schuylkill River.  I went out for about 3-4 miles (a little unsure the exact distance today).  The days have been muggy and tough to run in, but definitely easy to break a sweat.  I have run every day this week except Tuesday, when I played in a mens league soccer game.  Unfortunately, we lost the soccer game.  Nonetheless, keeping up the good work here in Philly.
