Team DC

The weather has been absolutely perfect the past couple of days in DC for morning workouts. I have been working out in the morning around 7:15 at Washington Sports Club in Dupont prior to bar exam prep classes.

Workout Schedule This Week:

Monday: Chest and Triceps

Tuesday: Back and Biceps

Wednesday: Legs and Shoulders

Tomorrow will either be a long cardio workout or will be a repeat in the cycle depending on level of soreness in shoulders tomorrow.

We could not be more excited about Scott Carpenter leading the initiative in Boston to run everyday in June to honor our military families.

Team Ohio

Tim is traveling for work, but he still was able to get a workout in today. He played soccer this morning at 6:30 with a group of players on the soccer tam that he helps coach. Great morning workout. We played 11 v. 11 the turn out was amazing. The kids love getting out in the morning and knocking the ball.

I was also able to get a workout in today in DC. I went for a four mile run down Rock Creek Parkway; the weather was absolutely perfect for a run.

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend!

Day 46

We traveled to Pittsburgh today for the holidays. Before attending a holiday party, I was able to get a 45 minute shoulder and leg workout in the hotel fitness center.

I hope everyone travels safely for the holidays.

As we were returning to our room, we came across frenchy fuqua from the immaculate reception for the Pittsburgh steelers who was kind enough to take a picture with us.

Day 42, 44, 45

It’s been awhile since I have posted on the challenge blog and it feels good to be back.

Team DC will be taking over Saturdays from here on out.

Law school exams ended last week so this has been a week of trying to get back in shape fitness wise.

On Tuesday, was a 2 mile run and an hr lift at the Washington sports club in DuPont. I lifted chest and tris per usual.

On Wednesday, was another 2 mile run and hr lift except it was shoulders and legs.

On Friday was another 2 mile run and back on the chest and tri cycle.

I look forward to posting more often.

Happy holidays!

Day 255

Tim is traveling for business attending a conference at Dartmouth and he asked me to post on his behalf. Tim has been working out all week running 2-3 miles a day. He is running in Hanover, NH, a very beautiful area for running, very green and hilly. The scenic landscape certainly made those 2-3 miles of personal time very enjoyable.

On a slightly different note, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the 365 Day Challenge runners and bloggers who generously give up their time each week to workout on behalf of our military families. I know many of you have very busy schedules balancing personal and professional demands and finding time to not only workout but to also post to this blog is not an easy task.  To many, posting a paragraph or two each week may seem like a small act, but these consistent small acts, when taken together, over a long period of time add up to an great act of charity. Thank you for your time, your commitment to our cause, and belief in our organization. Keep up the fantastic work. -Matt
