After the arrival of my, much anticipated, gray weareone365 underarmour t-shirt, this weeks workout felt good.  I did 3.5 miles and lifted chest and triceps.  Overall a good workout.  I continue to run inside because of the weather.  Snow continues to fall out here in Ohio.

Nonetheless, the workouts continue but I am looking forward to spring.

Softball in Baltimore

It was a great weekend in Baltimore as we continue to prepare for our 5K trail run at Gunpowder State Park coming up on May 5th, mark your calendars!

Many members from Team Baltimore have recently joined a Friday night softball league. We have 3 weeks before the season starts, so spring training started this Sunday. Chris Diller, Mike Kirby, Graham Becker, Erich Raschid and myself went to the local Riverside park for a few hours of batting and fielding practice. It was a great way to get active on a nice spring Sunday and running around the outfield can be a great workout.

Stay active my friends.

Today marks the first day of the We Are One 365 March Madness pool.  Thank you to everyone that is involved in the fun.

Today I went for a three mile run.  After seeing Bucknell lose (who I boldly selected to win in the next round too) I knew I needed to spend some time doing some running.  It was snowing in Ohio all day so I went to my fitness club and ran on the treadmill.  This will be an exciting couple of days, but it will definitely come with the need to work off some of the stress (from the losses in my bracket).

I know the NCAA is keen on recognizing and thanking the military and I would also like to extend an additional thank you.

We had a great WAO weekend in Baltimore.  On Saturday, Matt Wood, Joey Wood, Marena Perkins, Christy Arndt, Drew Vogt, Matt Vogt, and Stacey Vogt completed the Rock N Roll Half Marathon in Washington DC.  Their pictures are below.  I also completed a 3 mile run around the Baltimore Harbor.  With the weather finally picking up, we expect to have a lot more outside works taking place.

We also have finalized the details of our 5k event hosted in Baltimore.  The 5k will take place at 9am on May 5th at Gunpowder State Park.  We’re hosting the event with the friends and family of Hereford Boy Scout Troop 92 and are very excited to see everyone out there.

Get your tickets at http://wao365baltimoretrailrun.eventbrite.com/ and stay tuned as we bring more updates.

Enjoy the week.

Ballin’ in Baltimore

We had a beautiful weekend here in Baltimore with sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s. It was a great weekend to get active. Today a bunch of members from Team Baltimore met to play pickup basketball at one of the local gyms. Marty Ensor, Mike Myslinski, Brett Yoder, Adam Desantis and myself battled in a 5 on 5, 3 game series.

Basketball is unique in the type of stamina it requires. It’s a whole lot different then going out and running a few miles. The only way to get into good basketball shape is playing a lot of basketball! It always feels great to change up workouts and throwing a few games of basketball into the mix is a great way of doing that.

Have a great weekend WAO’ers. See you next week!

Sunday in Baltimore

On Sunday, I ran down to For McHenry and back completing a 2 mile loop.  We’ve also been working on our Baltimore event for later this Spring, and think we made progress this week with the 5k partnered with a local boy scout troop.  We hope to add details about the event as the event gets closer.

Enjoy the week.
