Team Ohio

On Monday I did a 3 mile interval work out (sprinting and jogging) along with a legs work out.  Tuesday I ran 3.5 miles along with extended stretching and abs.  Wednesday I did 1 mile and a shoulders, back, and biceps work out.

This morning I woke up in for morning soccer with the soccer team.  We played indoors for about an hour.  It was a lot of fun and a great way to start the day.

Baltimore Run

In preparation for the DC Rock and Roll Half Marathon coming up in a couple of weeks it is time to start increasing my miles. This weekend I went for an 8.5 mike run throughout the streets of Baltimore. I incorporated my favorite loops around Fort McHenry and the Inner Harbor.

This was a solo run, which can always get boring at times. However I recently discovered a new app called Strava. The app will record your run using GPS then map out the whole run and compare your times to others who have run the same routes. It’s a great way to keep yourself motivated when you don’t have a buddy to run with. If you haven’t already heard about it, I would highly recommend checking it out!

Have a great week!

Today I ran 3 miles.  2.5 at a consistent pace and then finished with .5 of interval training (sprint then jog).  Following the run I did a back and biceps workout.  On Monday I had a 4 mile run followed with a chest and triceps work out. On Tuesday I did 4.5 miles and abs.

This week in Baltimore, Scott Kirby and Dan Valerino headed to the Merritt for a long bike ride in their We Are One attire.  Additionally, Mike Kirby ran 2 miles and completed a 3 mile bike ride.

But the exciting news this week comes from Northern Baltimore County.  The members of team Baltimore are in the initial planning stages with a boy scout troop from Hereford to put together a May 2013 event to raise money for the cause.  Stay tuned as we plan to release more details over the coming months.

Enjoy the week.

Today I did interval training for 2 miles and a one mile jog followed by a back and biceps workout.  I hope everyone’s week is going well.

Climbing in Bmore

This weekend Team Baltimore headed up North to do some indoor rock climbing at Earth Treks in Timonium, MD. Graham Becker, Perry Menzies, Jason Cimino and Drew Vogt got in a good two hour climbing session doing a combo of wall climbing and bouldering. Being rock climbing rookies you feel great early on in the climb, but it doesn’t take long before your whole body begins to get fatigued and you develop the shakes. Climbing is, without a doubt, a fantastic full body workout. If you have a rock climbing gym nearby you should absolutely consider going at some point!

Hi everyone,

Another good workout in Ohio.  4 miles and a legs work out.  With the help of a friend in the gym, I was able to do resistance training with a resistance bad.  It is a difficult and great alternative to machines and platform lifts.
