This weekend parts of the Vogt family headed up to the Pocono Mountains to meetup for the weekend.  It was a highly active weekend and the activities got started early this morning!  To kick things off Matt Vogt, Peter Vogt and I went for a 6.3 mile run around the beautiful Lake Hauto.  After a short break, we headed to the basketball courts.

Above is a 3v4 basketball game consisting of Matt Vogt, Ben Vogt & Sam Vogt vs Kevin Sherry, Spencer Vogt, David Vogt, & myself.  It was a hard fought battle over a two game series and despite the ankle biting tactics of the two young bucks; Spencer and David, the 3 man squad was able to take down the 4 man squad. It’s an up hill battle when Matt Vogt squats in the lane and throws his body weight around!

Next up was tennis:

Above is a doubles match between Peter Vogt & Sue Sherry vs Vivian Vogt & Mary Singer.  As you can tell by the action shots above, this match got pretty intense! Even though Peter had to use his over powering serve more often then he anticipated, there were still plenty of great volleys which created a solid workout for everyone.

It was a great weekend in the Poconos and the Vogt’s had a great time taking advantage of the beautiful weather to get in some great activities and workouts!
