Day 156

Happy Monday 365-ers! I hope everyone had a great weekend and got in lots of good exercise!

I’ve grown a little tired of doing so much running lately, so I’ve been substituting extra miles on the old bicycle for the usual jogs. Sunday was a particularly good day to be a Los Angeles cyclist as the city held one of its regular CicLAvias. The city closed off over ten miles of downtown road for the event, leaving the streets car-free for thousands of bikers, skaters, runners, and walkers. Having to dodge cars and buses on my ride this morning definitely left me longing to live in a more bike friendly city. I found a nice thirteen-mile bike lane from my house to the beach that doesn’t have too many cars whizzing by, but the idea of someone opening their car door on me is constantly in the back of my mind. Nonetheless, biking has become my new favorite hobby and I hope to keep logging lots of miles.

Have a wonderful week! See you next Monday!
